Plenty Gorge Bush Playgroup
When?Start time: Wednesday 10:00am (18 April)
End time: Tuesday 12:00pm (01 May)
Do you have a child that LOVES the outdoors? Would you like to meet with other like-minded parents in a supportive environment led by a qualified forest school leader? Then we'd LOVE for you to join us at our one of our bush playgroups!
Plenty Gorge Park, situated in South Morang offers a wide range of natural and cultural experiences only 20km from Melbourne CBD with views of the Plenty River and a backdrop of the wooded Plenty Gorge, this is a perfect spot for our bush playgroups.
Wednesdays 10-12pm, 10 weeks.
Our program offers a natural rhythm to the sessions that are child led and we offer a range of nature-based activities, arts and craft, indigenous stories and songs, introducing bush skills and tools at a young age so the children learn real skills and knowledge they will have for life. Our weekly sessions are based on the forest school model that has been running successfully in countries such as Denmark and the Director is forest school trained and all the activities provided are based on the latest research on child development and play.
We have a Facebook group that you are welcome to join and see what they are all about.
Eco Explorers bush playgroups allow parents to disconnect from their busy lives (and technology) and re-connect with their child in nature. This time is as much for you as it is for your child. Our playgroups bring together a community of like-minded parents who are supportive and welcoming.
Ages: 1 – 4 years (siblings under 14 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
